Dr. Norris-Tirrell, Associate Professor and Director of the Division of
Public Administration, received her Ph.D. in Public Administration in 1992
from Florida International University after working in administrative
positions in nonprofit and public organizations. Dr. Norris-Tirrell teaches
courses in public and nonprofit governance, resource development, policy
analysis/evaluation, and leadership. Her current research is in the areas of
nonprofit governance, immigration, and maternal/infant health. Dr.
Norris-Tirrell serves on boards, committees, and as a consultant to several
local nonprofit organizations, including The Community Forum, The League
of Women Voters, Peabody-Vance Collaborative, The March of Dimes Birth
Defects Foundation, and the City of Germantown.
