DPNA Update

Miska Shaw received a Tennessee Board of Regents Minority Fellowship for Spring 2006.

PADM was well represented at the 2005 SECOPA meeting.  Frank Robertson, Heather Joachim, Miska Shaw, and Shauna Murphy all presented papers at the meeting!!!  Drs. Menifield, Clay, and Norris-Tirrell also presented papers at the meeting.

The 2006 Pi Alpha Alpha Annual Awards Luncheon was held February 23, 2006.  Ted Fox, the Director of the Shelby County Division of Public Works, was the guest speaker for the event. Pi Alpha Alpha is the national honor society for students of public affairs and administration.  To be eligible for Pi Alpha Alpha, students must have completed at least 21 hours of MPA courses with a GPA of 3.7 or better.
